The last month and a half the Catholic Church liturgy has been in full swing - Advent, Christmas, Holy Innocents, St. Stephen, Ephiphany, Baptism of Our Lord...
This makes "Ordinary Time" sound a little boring. But its not.
"Ordinary" comes from the Latin word ordinalis - which means order or orderly - not ho-hum, same old thing.
The enters into the orderly presentation of the life of Jesus Christ and His Church. At every Sunday Mass, Catholics around the world will follow Jesus according to the Gospel of Matthew (or occasionally John).
We will meet Jesus at every moment of His life from the proclaimation of John the Baptist until His Passion, Death and Resurrection.
Don't wait until Lent!
